At FRITZ!, my work is more than just a job. What I do has a direct impact on people, making their lives easier. It's a great feeling that connects us all here. I like my colleagues and the way we work together as a team. Nobody ends up repeating the same task unnecessarily because we just communicate so well. There's a culture of openness and interpersonal connection, and that's been my experience at FRITZ! since I joined more than five years ago.

I joined FRITZ! in 2020, straight after finishing my mathematics degree. I was very well looked after right from the start. FRITZ! places a lot of trust in its employees. Goals are clearly defined, but we can decide how we get there. At FRITZ!, I get to enjoy all the freedom you find in a startup combined with the security of working for a large company.

I was lucky enough to be able to gradually find my place at FRITZ! It all started back in 2016, when I got in touch to see if I could do the mandatory internship part of my bachelor's degree at FRITZ! After that, I was able to get a student job here. People were always ready to listen – not just when I had questions, but when I had a different opinion, too. This feeling of working together as equals is something I still enjoy to this day. I've been a permanent employee since 2020.

There aren’t any strict guidelines for me to follow, and I like that. It’s clear what the goals are, but how I go about getting there is up to me. That gives me freedom and room to work, without feeling unsupported. Thankfully, micromanagement just isn’t an issue at FRITZ! The work never weighs me down – I enjoy coming here.

I’m doing an online bachelor’s in media informatics – digital media and computer science. That’s why I was looking for a good place to do my work placement. FRITZ! turned out to be a perfect match for my project. I jumped straight into the hardware layout team and am working on a complete redesign of a key internal tool. It’s incredibly motivating: My ideas don’t just get heard, they get put into action.
